I am excited to announce that the International Community is now the International/Cross-Border Knowledge Circle.
Since this is such a long-standing community, we know that many of you already know each other. But to benefit those who are newer to this group, you are encouraged to introduce yourself.
Here are some ideas of what you could touch upon in your introduction. Where you are from? How long have you been in practice and what do you specialize in? What are you working on now? Will we be seeing you next week in Seattle?
Our official launch of this Knowledge Circle will occur
Sunday September 21 from 11:15am - 12:15pm PT
at the FPA Annual Conference - BE Seattle 2014. We hope you will join us for this gathering.
So, what is a Knowledge Circle and how is it different from a community?
Here is how the group has been structured in the past. This will not change with the new Circle.
• It's a peer-to-peer learning opportunity focused on practical takeaways through conversation
• Core topics discussed will be best practices globally relevant planning issues and for Cross-Border Planning.
• Connections will happen in a variety of ways (i.e. online, monthly conference calls and in-person)
Here is what is new:
• Volunteer hosts will help get conversations started and encourage participation
• FPA will periodically request feedback from the Knowledge Circle on FPA content and programs
To sum it up, this Knowledge Circle is going to be a great place to be to discuss and share best practices with peers. And we have wonderful volunteer hosts in place to support this group.
