The Income Tax and Estate Planning Knowledge Circle welcomes George A Shewchuk afrom Raimondo Pettit Group (RPG) on the June 19, 2018 call. George is a Certified Public Accountant, with a Masters of Science in Taxation specializing in corporate formations, structures, business tax planning for privately held companies and high net worth individuals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University and completed his Master of Science in Taxation at Golden Gate University.

Along with managing the Long Beach office and his other responsibilities at RPG; he currently teaches CPA’s through CA society of CPAs on the topics of Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Fundamentals and Tax Provisions.

George will be presenting Business Provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Special emphasis will be on the 199A “Pass-Through” deduction as it applies to both clients and our CFP® practitioner’s businesses.  “Yes, you the Planner needs to do some tax/entity planning for yourself!”  We will also discuss choice of entity for tax purposes (LLC vs. S Corp vs. C Corp), the effect of the new 21% tax rate on C Corp income, the limitations on Entertainment expenses, updates on your fees to the client and much more.
