The December 2022 Financial Counseling call with AFCPE and FPA will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 12 pm ET.

Guest speaker Dan Rutherford with CFTC will be presenting, "Understanding Cryptocurrency and Other Digital Assets."

Educating about digital assets requires an understanding of the underlying technology. What are they? How do they work? And, what new risks do they present? It also requires applying the traditional lessons of risk management, diversification, rebalancing, counterparty risk, liquidity risk, fraud risk, etc. Join Dan Rutherford from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as he discusses the technology underpinning cryptocurrency, the differences between Bitcoin, Ether and other digital assets, common frauds, and prevention measures. He’ll also provide tips and resources you can pass along to clients.
