Davis, Sr., CFP®, first African American to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in the U.S., and founder of the Association of African American Financial Advisors. Davis will talk about his professional journey, his experience as a person of color in this profession, his work within the community, and much more.
Davis holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, and has extensive experience in accounting, tax planning and financial management and investment consulting. He established his own consulting firm in 1970, and he has also worked in both the public and private sectors, including work with an international labor organization.
In addition to having hosted the financial television program, Common Cents, he has appeared as a financial expert on numerous television programs, articles, and networks.
