“Keep a budget” is one of the most common yet least implemented recommendations. This interactive webinar highlights why conventional budgeting is so difficult and how “reverse budgeting” may be a better approach. While conventional budgeting takes a detailed bottom-up approach, reverse budgeting’s top-down approach focuses first on goals and savings. This flip can increase clients’ savings rates and financial health while paradoxically decreasing their understanding of how each dollar is spent. Reverse budgeting is simple yet powerful.
